Greetings Lagos State Government, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express our concern regarding the recent announcement about the temporary closure of the outbound section of Eko Bridge for emergency safety investigations and repairs.

Many citizens are beginning to wonder whether this is yet another unfulfilled promise. We urgently need clarity, transparency, and firm timelines. Specifically, we are requesting the following:

Clear confirmation of when the repair project will officially begin.

A realistic and publicly communicated completion date.

Regular daily progress updates on the LekeeLekee app to assure the public that the work is genuinely underway.

This project presents a major opportunity to create meaningful employment for Nigerian youths. We strongly urge the government to:

Prioritize hiring Nigerian workers across all skill levels. No need of online application/ interview is waste of time all that is required is valid Nigerian ID/Nigerian passport

Award contracts primarily to Nigerian companies.

If foreign expertise is required, ensure that they provide hands-on training to Nigerian youths and graduates so that the skills, knowledge, and long-term economic benefits remain within Nigeria.

Nigeria has over 240 million citizens, many of whom are talented, capable, and eager to contribute. This project can be a model for empowering our people and strengthening our local industries.

We respectfully request that the government demonstrate transparency, accountability, and commitment to Nigerian talent as this project moves forward.
