"I Can't Marry a Man Who Cannot Hire a Cook And a Cleaner.” – Lady Says

A lady has sparked fresh conversation online after declaring that she cannot marry a man who cannot afford to employ a cook and a domestic helper to handle all household chores.

According to her, she is not willing to take on the traditional role of a full-time housewife or domestic manager in marriage.

She emphasized that while she knows how to cook very well, she only enters the kitchen when she feels like it, never out of obligation to serve a man.

“Any man who expects me to wake up every day and cook, clean, and do all the house chores is not for me,” she stated. “I can cook, yes, but it will be on my own terms. I didn’t go to school and work hard just to come and become a full-time maid in my own marriage.”

She further explained that she expects her future husband to be financially capable enough to hire professional help for cooking and cleaning so that she can focus on her career, personal growth, and other ambitions.

In her view, marriage should be a partnership that enhances her life, not one that turns her into a domestic servant.

Her bold comments have generated mixed reactions, with some praising her for setting clear boundaries and rejecting outdated gender roles, while others have accused her of being entitled about marriage.
