Hours after the k*lling of a part-time student at the University of Benin (University of Benin), the Chairman of the Cult Renunciation, Reconciliation, Reformation, Rehabilitation and Interfaith Committee has resigned his position.

In his resignation letter, he reportedly accused the Vice Chancellor of failing to act on earlier warnings before the incident and also alleged receiving threats from the VC. The development has heightened concerns over campus security following the fatal attack.
