The disqualification of Fubara's loyalists from the Rivers State House of Assembly APC primary is not a good sign for Fubara at all. Even if Fubara gets a second term and the State Assembly is dominated by Wike's allies, he won't have a smooth running.

Fubara's loyalists can still appeal this screening to see if it can be reserved. The 2027 elections in Rivers State will be among the more interesting ones to look forward to.
