Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw won the Football Writers Association (#FWA) "Women's Footballer of the Year" award after leading Manchester City's charge to a first Women's Super League title in a decade.

City clinched the #WSL title after Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Brighton made their eight-point lead at the top of the table unassailable.

The Jamaica international netted 19 of City's 58 goals, adding four assists. It is the second time she wins the FWA award, having first done so for the 2023–24 season.

This year Shaw won the vote by a landslide, with Arsenal striker Alessia Russo - who was last year's winner - in second, while Chelsea forward Lauren James finished third.
