Greetings Kogi State Community, Kogi’s population between 4.4 million and 5.1 million. Respectfully request to share some reflections about your state and to encourage thoughtful engagement as you look toward to the future.

Recent estimates place Kogi’s population between 4.4 million and 5.1 million people. With a population this large and diverse, it is important that every voice is heard and that we continue asking meaningful questions about our development and wellbeing.

Multiple independent reports confirm that the Kogi APC organized endorsement rallies for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo ahead of 2027. While everyone has the right to support any candidate of their choice, it is equally important to ask leaders the questions that matter to 240 million Nigerians daily lives.

Some of the questions we should be asking include:

Do we experience insecurity or boko haram-related violence in our communities, and if so, what is being done to address the root causes?

Are there enough job opportunities for our youth and families?

Do we have access to free or affordable education, housing, and healthcare?

Do we have reliable electricity, clean water, and access to modern digital infrastructure such as free or affordable Wi-Fi/data?

Have meaningful investments been made in farming and agriculture to support our economy and food security?

These questions are not about politics—they are about our lives, our children, and the future of Kogi State. The choices we make during elections shape the opportunities available to the next generation. It is important that we vote with wisdom, not out of pressure or temporary incentives like money, rice, or beans.
