I honestly find it deeply insulting—almost nauseating—when our political class tries to comfort themselves with the ridiculous fantasy that impoverished voters, who are handed crumbs for their scripted appearances, somehow scrape together money to buy them expression‑of‑interest forms. It is bad enough that our sensibilities are assaulted every single day, but to then spit on our intelligence with such an outrageous lie is beyond unacceptable. It is an affront, a mockery, and a deliberate attempt to treat citizens as fools who cannot see through their deception.
Yahaya Bello, Rotimi Amaechi, et al, please spare us your lies.
