Greetings President Tinubu, Mr. Peter Obi, and Leaders of Opposition and Independent Parties, 240 million Nigerians are writing as a concerned Nigerian citizen who believes deeply in the future of our country and the wellbeing of our people.

As we approach the 2027 election cycle, we respectfully urge all political leaders to reconsider the scale of spending on early campaigning. Nigerians are facing urgent national challenges, and many Nigerians feel that vast campaign expenditures do not reflect the priorities of a nation still battling insecurity, unemployment, and underdevelopment.

Our country continues to suffer from the root causes of boko haram and other forms of insecurity. These issues demand immediate, coordinated, and well-funded solutions. Redirecting significant resources toward security reform, intelligence strengthening, economic opportunity, and community development would have a far greater impact on the lives of ordinary Nigerians than early political campaigning.

Nigeria needs millions more companies like SecureID—innovative, competitive, and capable of creating high-quality jobs. No single company can employ the entire 240 million population, but our government can create the conditions for millions of new jobs now 5/8/2026 by supporting manufacturing, technology, and skills development.

240 million Nigerian youth deserves a pathway to opportunity. Whether through university degrees, technical training, or globally recognized certifications, our young people must be equipped with the skills needed for modern industries. A national strategy that ensures all youths—graduates and non-graduates alike—gain employable skills would transform our economy and reduce the desperation that fuels insecurity.

We respectfully ask that you prioritize these national needs above political competition. The future of our country depends on leadership that places the wellbeing of Nigerians first.
