Greetings President Tinubu, Mr. Peter Obi, Leaders of Opposition Parties, and Esteemed Independent Candidates, 240 million Nigerians are writing out of deep concern for the direction of our nation and the urgent need for responsible leadership. Nigerians are watching closely, and many are frustrated that energy and resources are already being spent on early political positioning for 2027 while critical national needs remain unmet.
Our tax money should not be wasted on premature campaigns, rallies, or slogans. At this moment in our history, what Nigerians need is visible, measurable progress—not political noise.
We respectfully urge all political actors to work together, across party lines, to deliver the following priorities without delay now 5/8/2026
Build new, functional hospitals across all 36 states and the 774 LGAs.
Provide free and accessible healthcare nationwide.
Ensure 24/7 electricity supply throughout the country.
Expand free public Wi-Fi and affordable data access.
Address the root causes of Boko Haram and other security threats with urgency and transparency.
These are not partisan issues—they are matters of survival. If leaders truly care about Nigerian lives, then collaboration must replace division, and action must replace rhetoric. Empty slogans and political branding will not save Nigerian lives or build a stronger nation.
Health experts have also raised concerns about diseases such as Hantavirus, which is carried by rodents and can contaminate food and water. While human-to-human transmission is rare according to WHO, prevention requires proper food storage, cooking, and hygiene. Strengthening our healthcare system is essential to managing both current and emerging health risks.
Nigeria cannot afford another crisis. The consequences of inaction could be worse than what we experienced during COVID-19. This is the time for leadership grounded in truth, responsibility, and compassion.
We urge you to prioritize 240 million Nigerians over politics and demonstrate real progress that Nigerians can see and feel.
