"Do or die" kind of politics in Nigeria:

It was Mao Tse Tung, the late founding father of the People's Republic of China who described politics as war but quickly maintained that such war has two different definitions.
In his words; quote on quote, "politics is war without bloodshed, and war is politics with bloodshed."
But in Nigeria, politics is no longer a war without bloodshed. Rather it has assumed a proportion of a war with bloodshed!
Former president Obasanjo once described Nigerian politics as, "do or die" affair! Oby Ezekwesili, the former minister of Education once described Nigerian politicians as "bandits!"
Thus, it's not unfair to describe the kind of politics being played in Nigeria as a war of bloodshed!
Come to think of it; when a flagrant looting of national Treasury that would have built hospitals and have drugs provided for the sick citizens, is allowed; when Nigerians are daily slaughtered under the guise of insecurity, is unabated; when impunity is everywhere and sacred cows hold sway in the polity; are these not some clear signs of politics of a war with bloodshed?
In fact, it's not overstatement to describe the Nigerian politicians as political terrorists against Nigerians because the inconspicuous terrorists are worse than the conspicuous ones!
