Your Excellencies President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Peter Obi, Leaders of opposition parties, and independent public office holders, 240 million Nigerians are writing to you out of deep concern for the ongoing loss of Nigerian lives due to actions by the police, military, and air force, and the continued absence of accountability, transparency, and structural reform. Millions of Nigerians are demanding a system that protects them rather than harms them, and the time for decisive action is now.

Nigeria cannot continue with slogans, closed‑door meetings, and promises that do not translate into real change. The country needs a complete overhaul of policing and security leadership, backed by transparent processes and public oversight.

Below are urgent actions that Nigerians expect from their leaders now 5/7/2026

Comprehensive reform of the Nigerian police force

Replace ineffective leadership and restructure command systems.

Establish independent oversight bodies with real authority.

Compensation and justice for Nigerians now 5/7/2026

Families of Nigerians killed by police, military, or air force operations deserve recognition, compensation, and transparent investigations.

No nation can move forward while ignoring the suffering of its people.

Mandatory CCTV and Body‑Worn Cameras Nationwide

Install CCTV systems across all 36 states and 774 LGAs.

Require all police, military, and air force personnel to wear body cameras during operations.

Ensure footage is accessible for public review when necessary.

End Closed‑Door Governance

All major security and legislative meetings should allow accredited journalists.

Meeting summaries, votes, and decisions should be uploaded daily to public platforms such as the LekeeLekee app.

The public deserves to know how senators vote on leadership positions and national issues.

Restore Trust Through Transparency

Nigeria cannot continue with secretive processes that undermine democracy.

Citizens must see their leaders act with integrity, openness, and accountability.
