Shehu Shagari kept petrol at ₦0.20 per litre in 1982 — one of the lowest recorded.
Olusegun Obasanjo (military era) had fuel at ₦0.50 per litre in 1978.
Muhammadu Buhari (1984 military era) also kept fuel at ₦0.20 per litre.
Takeaway: The lowest fuel prices occurred under Shagari and Buhari (1984 military rule).
