240 million Nigerians are writing to you out of deep concern regarding the safety and rights of a Nigerian citizens who recently exercised her constitutional freedom of expression. This young lady publicly responded to comments made by Tosin Eniolorunda, CEO of Moniepoint, after he stated that many Nigerian talents do not meet global standards. Her reaction, like those of 240 million Nigerians, was peaceful, lawful, and rooted in her right to speak on matters affecting national dignity and employment.

It is essential that no harm, intimidation, or retaliation comes to her or to any Nigerian who expresses an opinion on public issues. Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of democracy, and Nigerians must be able to voice their concerns without fear. The global world is watching Nigeria kindly do the needful

There is also growing public frustration over claims made by the Moniepoint CEO. The company was founded in 2015, and there is no public record indicating that it has hired anywhere near Nigeria’s population of 240 million youths and graduates. Nigerians are calling for transparency, accountability, and fairness in employment practices.

240 million Nigerians are now urging the government to consider establishing a new, Nigerian‑owned alternative to Moniepoint—one that would be built, managed, and operated by Nigerian youths and graduates across all 36 states and 774 local government areas. The vision expressed by the public is a company that prioritizes national development, creates large‑scale employment, and removes unnecessary barriers such as interview bottlenecks.

We respectfully request that your parties and independent platforms use your voices to:

Protect the young woman who spoke out, ensuring her safety and freedom from retaliation.

Defend the constitutional right of 240 million Nigerians to express themselves without fear.

Encourage transparent dialogue about employment, opportunity, and the role of fintech companies in national development.

Consider supporting initiatives that empower 240 million Nigerian youths to build and run large‑scale national enterprises.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. The safety, dignity, and future of 240 million Nigerian citizens must remain a priority.
