So, which one can replace MTN right now 5/6/2026
GLO is the only Nigerian-owned company with the infrastructure, spectrum, submarine cable, and subscriber base to replace MTN’s role in Nigeria’s telecom ecosystem.

But even Glo cannot instantly absorb MTN’s 240+ million subscribers without:

Government support/opposition parties/independent candidates

Infrastructure expansion

Investment in towers and fiber

Network modernization
