Subject: Urgent Appeal for Immediate Economic Relief and Review of Fuel Subsidy Removal Now 5/6/2026

Your Excellency,President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR

Sir, 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA write to you as concerned Nigerians witnessing the severe hardship that 240 millions of Nigerians are facing daily. Before you assumed office, petrol was sold at about ₦198–₦200 per litre. Immediately after the announcement of subsidy removal on May 29, 2023, the price rose sharply to ₦617 per litre. This single policy change has multiplied the cost of transportation, food, electricity, and basic survival for families across all 36 states and the 774 LGAs.

Your Excellency, Nigerians are struggling. Many have lost their jobs, businesses have collapsed, and the cost of living has risen beyond what ordinary Nigerians can bear. Access to stable electricity remains a major challenge, yet Nigerians continue to pay for power they do not receive. The promise of improved electricity supply has not materialized, and the economic pressure continues to deepen.

Sir, We respectfully urge you to:

Reconsider the fuel subsidy removal or introduce a workable alternative that immediately reduces the cost of petrol and transportation now 5/6/2026

Provide clear, transparent explanations for why the subsidy was removed and what relief measures will replace it.

Invest aggressively in job creation, ensuring that Nigerians can earn a living wage that reflects today’s economic realities.

Strengthen education, make it more affordable, and ensure reforms do not weaken the quality of learning or opportunities for our 240 million youths in the 36 states 774 LGA

Address insecurity at its root, so that Nigerians can live, work, and travel without fear starting now 5/6/2026

Deliver on the promise of improved free electricity, as stable power is essential for economic growth and national development.

Your Excellency, the world is watching Nigeria. More importantly, Nigerians are looking to your leadership for urgent relief. We appeal to you to take decisive action that will restore hope, reduce suffering, and rebuild trust between the government and 240 million Nigerians

Thank you for your attention to these concerns. We kindly demand your administration will take bold steps now 5/6/2026 to ease the burden on 240 million Nigerians and move our nation toward stability and prosperity now 5/6/2026

Respectfully,
Concerned 240 million Nigerians suffering in poverty/darkness and bleeding everyday
