TINUBU COURTS GLOBAL INVESTORS IN PARIS, PLEDGES FISCAL DISCIPLINE

President Bola Tinubu has told global investors in Paris his administration will maintain policy stability and fiscal discipline as it deepens economic reforms.

At the meeting, Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele said Nigeria recorded 11.2% GDP growth in dollar terms in 2025, reinforcing its ambition to build a one trillion dollar economy by 2030, and pledged quarterly financial disclosures.

Debt Management Office head Patience Oniha said the government would pursue responsible borrowing and sustainable debt management.

Investors, including Citibank and Amundi, welcomed the reforms and expressed optimism about the economy.

Tinubu, on a three-nation trip, said the reforms aim to stabilise the economy, improve transparency in the oil sector and strengthen security, adding the focus would remain on consistent policy execution.
