Nigerians have to know differences in classes of health facilities. Taking cases of accidents to a facility that does not have an accident and emergency department is wasting a life saving time. Most private hospitals have facilities for urgent care but not emergencies. All teaching hospitals and FMCs ideally have emergency dept.

Government should fix our emergency response system. It should be coordinated and possible. I know Obaseki tried it in Benin City before the current sorry case came and scraped anything sophisticated. Emergencies calls are received, ambulances dispatched and even the hospitals emergency department is informed before the ambulance arrives. If there is no space in a facility the operator contact the next facility. Before the ambulance arrives at the scene to pick the victim... The driver and paramedics already know the facility the victims would be evacuated to.

It is not rocket science and a serious govt should start building systems instead of mixing cement.

David Onyedikachi: What's hard in this that the government can't do but they rather embezzle.
Sebastian: Nothing is hard. Build the infrastructure and deploy. They rather just steal. Nigeria have the talents to operate a decent control room. I know many young folks who got their employment into Edo State service then just working in the control room. My brother having a working nation is not hard.
