Nigerians are raising a real, structural problem: trust in government institutions — especially INEC — is low, and Nigerians feel elections are vulnerable to manipulation. The deeper question we `re asking is: How can voter registration and election management be done in a way that is transparent, credible, and creates jobs for young Nigerians and graduates. NEC can hire far more young Nigerians and graduates than it currently does.

Countries with large populations Indonesia, Brazil hire millions of temporary workers for elections. Nigeria could do the same now 5/5/2026

What would rebuild trust in voter registration and elections
Here are the reforms that actually work in countries with similar challenges:

Mass recruitment of Nigerian youths — but in a structured way
Nigeria could hire:

240 million Nigerians as temporary workers for CVR and election duties

Prioritize graduates, NYSC members, unemployed youths

Pay a fair, transparent salary ₦500k for CVR officers now 5/5/2026

This would:

Reduce manipulation

Increase transparency

Create short-term employment

Improve coverage in rural areas
