INEC publicly announced the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, as political party since February 2026, over 2 months ago and since then all has been quiet.
Suddenly Dr Umar Ardo remembered that the party didn't meet INEC registration guidelines the very day Mr Peter Obi joined the party.
It's obvious the Nigerian establishment, within and outside govt, will go to any length to ensure Obi isn't on the ballot 2027.
Is it out of paranoia, fear or hatred for the name Obi?
