Former Cross River Governor, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, has withdrawn from the 2027 Cross River North Senatorial race on the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an emotional statement, Ayade revealed he was summoned to Abuja for a high-level meeting with the Presidency, after which he was asked to shelve his ambition.
