Let's discuss something a lot of people avoid.
We fought to give the girl child a voice — and that was necessary.
But now, pause and think:
In lifting the girl child,
are we quietly overlooking the boy child?
Because real empowerment and advocacy is not about replacing one imbalance with another. It's about balance.
If girls are empowered but boys feel unseen or unsupported,
then what exactly have we fixed?
Are we correcting the past,
or just shifting the imbalance?
Are we raising children to stand together,
or quietly teaching one to rise while the other is told to adjust and "man up"?
