Army Detains Activist “Justice Crack” After Viral Video

The Nigerian Army has confirmed picking up blogger and activist Justice Mark Chidiebere, known as Justice Crack, days after he was declared missing. He had posted a video alleging poor welfare and feeding conditions of soldiers.

The army says he is being investigated for breaching social media policy and attempting to incite discontent among troops, adding he has been handed over to civilian authorities. However, associates allege he was tortured in custody, with claims the Department of State Services declined to take him due to his condition.
