Regarding my earlier post, my point is not about whether the woman got a tattoo without her husband’s consent. It is about how some men treat their wives as disposable, all in the name of ‘this is my house.’

Would a woman send her husband out in the middle of the night because he got a tattoo without her consent? Hardly ever. But in our society, you still see men using ‘my house, my rules’ as an excuse to throw their wives out over minor disagreements, as if they are nothing. That is the essence of my post.

Being a husband does not make you more important, nor does it make your wife less.

As a lawyer, I have seen cases—even within the church—where men commit far worse acts and it is overlooked, but when it is a woman, the first threat is ‘I will send you back to your father’s house,’ as if she was married as a slave.

I will never support disrespect in marriage. But when misunderstandings arise, men should also learn to put themselves in the woman’s shoes. Many women have endured far worse and still chose peace.

That is my point.

Imade Osayande: Though I didn't read your earlier post however, from this one I think communication Is key in every relationship which include marriage. I'm of the opinion that she would have discussed with the husband and see his stance.

Linzkits: Although every man will feel bad because the wife does not carry her along, throwing her out in the night is very wrong, but i believe strongly, whatever you want to do as a woman or man, learn to carry your partner along. Communication is the key.
