Motorsport legend and Paralympic champion Alex Zanardi has sadly passed away at the age of 59, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of courage and resilience.

A former Formula One driver and two-time CART IndyCar champion, he continued competing in motorsports after losing both legs in a terrible 2001 crash. Following his accident, Zanardi turned to para-cycling, winning four gold medals and two silver medals in handcycling at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.

His journey inspired millions worldwide and tributes have poured in for the Italian icon who redefined determination in the face of adversity and lived a life marked by remarkable comebacks and athletic accomplishments.
