Jetour will begin SUV production in South Africa from 2027.
The company plans to assemble its T1 and T2 models at the Rosslyn plant in Pretoria using the CKD method, where vehicles are built locally from imported parts.
The facility, now owned by Chery, is expected to produce 50,000 units annually and create over 3,000 jobs.
The move supports South Africa’s push to grow local manufacturing, boost exports, and develop skills in the automotive sector.
