THE FORGOTTEN NUTRIENT IN POULTRY.
Water is the most critical nutrient in poultry production, often called the "forgotten nutrient." Birds consume roughly 1.6–2 times more water than feed by weight, and it underpins hydration, digestion, growth, egg production, and overall flock health. In a poultry business, reliable access to clean, high-quality water directly impacts productivity, feed efficiency, mortality rates, and profitability.
