15-year-old Nigerian striker Favor James-Omobude has joined #Bundesliga team Werder Bremen ahead of the 2026–2027 season ⚽🔥.

He transfers from MSV Duisburg. In his final campaign with them Omobude featured in seven matches in the U17 DFB Youth League - Main Round League B, registering two assists.

The senior Werder Bremen squad currently boasts several successful players with Nigerian connections, including #SuperEagles stars Victor Boniface and Felix Agu, as well as Isaac Schmidt and Wesley Adeh.
