A firm, Nature Control Company Limited, has petitioned the Human Rights Community in Akwa Ibom State, alleging land encroachment by the State Police Command. The company claims the police have occupied approximately 9.5 hectares of land legally acquired for residential purposes. Human rights lawyer Clifford Thomas stated plans to sue the command and urged intervention from national police authorities.
