Osun Government Says Adeleke's Son Escaped Assassination, Demands Arrest Of Suspects
The Osun State Government says the son of Governor Ademola Adeleke, singer B-Red, escaped what the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, described as an "assassination attempt" in Osogbo.
In a statement dated 30 April 2026, Alimi said the incident happened around 3:30pm on Wednesday at Oke-Fia, near the Government House.
The commissioner said hoodlums, suspected to be led by a man identified as Asiri Eniba, attempted the attack.
B-Red, whose real name is Adebayo Adeleke, said he was driving near Alekuwodo Market when the incident began.
"As I went out to buy some stuff around Alekuwodo market, I just saw some Okada riders with AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic point under Okefia Bridge.
As we tried to move out, we saw a white Toyota Venza coming towards us with a shout of "it is him; It is him."
He said the situation quickly turned into a chase.
