How Nigerians can track whether all 36 states and 774 LGAs provide free 24/7 electricity free Wi‑Fi
Right now, there is no single national platform that tracks this. But Nigerians can push for one using tools that already exist:

Use existing public data systems
These platforms already publish government spending and can be expanded to track electricity and digital access:

Open Treasury Portal (federal spending)

State procurement portals (only some states publish)

NERC dashboards (electricity performance data)

NCC reports (telecom and broadband coverage)

Nigerians can demand that:

Each state publishes weekly electricity access reports

Each LGA publishes internet access and infrastructure reports

What a national tracking system would look like
Nigerians can advocate for a public dashboard that shows:

For electricity
Hours of power per day in 774 LGA

Number of transformers, feeders, and outages

Funds allocated vs. funds spent

Completed vs. abandoned power projects

For Wi‑Fi/data
Locations with free public Wi‑Fi

Hours of availability

Bandwidth and uptime

Cost of installation and maintenance

This kind of system is technically possible and already used in other countries. Nigeria can do the same now in 2026
