Why do Nigerians demand accountability from governors and LGA chairmen?
Because:

States and LGAs receive large monthly allocations

Many do not provide basic services like electricity, water, roads, or healthcare

Over 700 LGAs do not have functioning websites or public financial records

Anti‑corruption agencies have repeatedly flagged misuse of funds

So when services fail, Nigerian ask where the money went?
