Supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, are calling on Nigeria’s opposition coalition to zone the 2027 presidential ticket to the South, citing fairness and the country’s informal power-rotation principle. The demand has, however, exposed divisions within the coalition, as parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) remain split on whether zoning should take priority over electoral viability.
