SUMMARY OF JUDGMENT OF THE SUPREME COURT IN THE ADC APPEAL:
THE Supreme Court of Nigeria has dismissed the appeal in the leadership crisis rocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC), directing all parties to return to the Federal High Court for the determination of the substantive suit.

In a unanimous decision on Thursday, April 30, the apex court upheld the position of the Court of Appeal, affirming the seven grounds contained in its earlier judgment.

The court also declined to entertain arguments challenging the jurisdiction of the appellate court, ruling that the Court of Appeal acted within its powers in handling the matter.

The Court also dismissed the preservative order made by the Court of Appeal for parties to maintain STATUS QUO ANTE BELLUM.
