Nigeria’s mobile telecommunications market has sustained a steady growth trajectory since August 2025, with active mobile lines expanding by a cumulative 15.3 million over the period.

The country’s mobile subscriber base has increased by a cumulative 15.3 million lines. The most recent data show that mobile subscriptions rose by 1.3% month-on-month (MoM) (or 2.4 million) to 184.6 million in February 2026. In tandem, internet subscriptions increased by 1.0% MoM to 153.1 million.
