The parable of the "goat”, the “yam" and the “proverbial watch dog” in Nigerian political sphere is, albeit cynical, metaphor to describe corruption, broken promises, and the failure of accountability mechanisms among the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary arms of government. The "proverbial trusted watch dog" is the ultimate expression of the failure of trust- institutions like the judiciary and legislature, expected to be vigilant fierce and protective, turns out part of the theft!
