The way out isn't abandoning effort. It's interrogating the goal.
There's a difference between genuine self-improvement and the performance of self-improvement. One builds something real. The other feeds the cycle — more optimization, more exhaustion, more apps, more guilt.
Genuine improvement starts with a question the productivity industry never wants you to ask:
What am I actually doing this for?
