Discipline originates from Latin *disciplina* ("teaching, learning") and *discipulus* ("pupil"), meaning the process of training and forming someone through consistent instruction and practice.

It is not violence, punishment, or causing pain, but rather the deliberate building of skills, habits, and self-control—even when uncomfortable.

In essence, discipline is choosing to do what matters most, repeatedly, so you become the person capable of achieving your goals.
