Can this realistically stop rent by 2026?
Stopping rent completely by 2026 is unlikely because:

Nigeria’s housing deficit is over 20 million units

Construction takes time

Land reforms move slowly

But reducing rent pressure and helping all Nigerians own homes is possible if the government accelerates:

Land allocation

Mass housing projects

Mortgage access

Rent‑to‑own schemes

Even a few hundred thousand new affordable homes would make a big difference.
