What Nigeria must do to reach 24/7 electricity now in 2026


Expand generation massively
Nigeria needs at least 20,000–30,000 MW to approach 24/7 power.

Modernize the national grid
A stable grid = stable electricity

Fix the gas-to-power supply chain
Reliable gas = reliable power.

Invest heavily in solar we have massive land and sun
Nigeria could become Africa’s solar powerhouse.

Enforce metering and reduce losses
Smart meters + enforcement = financial stability.
