MTN Nigeria has suspended its airtime and data borrowing service, “Xtratime,” following new regulatory requirements introduced by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

The company announced the decision in a filing to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Thursday, stating that the move is in compliance with the FCCPC’s updated framework on digital lending services.
