What Nigerians demanded vs. what was approved by government
Labour unions NLC/TUC initially demanded ₦494,000 as a living wage due to inflation and rising costs. Mr president if Nigerians can not be paid good salaries politicians must not paid either government works for Nigerians not the other way round respectfully

The government ultimately approved ₦70,000, which took effect retroactively from 1 May 2024.
