Nigeria’s electricity problem is not mainly the fault of engineers. The issue is structural, political, financial, and infrastructural — engineers are only one small part of a very large system. The real reasons Nigeria still has light problems
Generation is too low for the population
Nigeria generates around 4,000–5,000 MW on average for over 242 million people.
South Africa, with one-third the population, generates over 40,000 MW.
