ADC CONVENTION: A LESSON IN STATUTORY NON-COMPLIANCE
Section 82(1) of the Electoral Act, 2026, mandates every registered political party to give INEC at least 21 days' notice of any convention or similar gathering conveyed for the purpose of electing members of its executive committees. In furtherance of the above provision, subsection (2) of the section provides:
"The notice shall specify the date, time, VENUE, and names of the members of the congress, ๐๐ฟ
