Farming is possible in Nigeria in 2026 but farming is not possible everywhere, especially in high‑conflict northern zones.
The country is split into two realities:
Areas where farming is functioning:
Southern states Edo, Oyo, Ogun, Cross River

Parts of the Middle Belt

Some relatively stable northern pockets

These areas are seeing:

Increased crop output

Government support

Mechanization and improved seeds
