Legendary singer Fela Kuti makes history as first Nigerian and first African solo artist inducted into the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame".

He'll be honored with the "Early Influence Award". The ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in LA.

Earlier this year, he was posthumously awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, which was accepted by his children, Femi, Yeni, Kunle, and Shalewa Kuti. His 1976 album, Zombie, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
