Nigeria’s electricity problems persist in most states because the entire power system—generation, transmission, and distribution—is broken at multiple levels, and no single actor is solely responsible. The failures are shared across government, regulators, generation companies (GenCos), distribution companies (DisCos), and the transmission company (TCN).
