What Would Push a Parent to Risk a Child’s Life?
I’ve heard people say it like it’s a simple trick “just give the baby something so they’ll sleep and not disturb you.”
Giving a baby alcohol, sleeping drugs, or anything just to “keep them quiet” can seriously harm a child.
A baby’s body is not built to handle those substances, and what looks like “sleep” can actually be dangerous.
A baby cries because something is wrong, hunger, discomfort, pain, or the need for comfort.
