The Lord of the rain and storming
Has lifted me from my roaming
His sweet love highly lifted me
When nothing else could save me.

I was sinking deep in sin
Far from peace of golden shore
Very sickly stained within
Sinking deep to rise no more,

But the Master of raging sea
Heard my despairing cry,
From warring waters lifted me
Now safe am I.

Souls in danger, lift your eyes!
He saves us, whole and free.
