Every month, without fail, I sent money home for my mother’s shop, my younger brother’s school fees, my sister’s JAMB, repairs on the old family house in the village, even hospital bills.
‎Over 8 years, I sent almost everything I earned. I skipped buying nice clothes for myself, ate only once a day sometimes, and rejected good marriage proposals because “I have to take care of my family first.
