So the tension is:

Nigerians know leaders should do these things

But because many leaders don’t, Nigerians feel grateful when politicians actually does

This creates a culture where appreciation becomes both:

A reward for rare competence, and

A tool to encourage more of it. We can agree to disagree respectfully
